SCS is a development agency that supports the formation and growth of co-operatives, social enterprises and community businesses. We are passionate about making positive change in the social economy and offer a variety of services to individuals and groups who feel the same. We do this by providing consultancy, financial and back-office services, incubation facilities and professional development training. Somerset Development Workers Co-op is a worker co-operative delivering services for SCS, who will be your employer.
Salary: £18,500 - £21,000 per annum (pro rata 40hrs), depending on experience.
Hours: 30 hours per week (option for job share/part time for the right people)
Annual Leave: 25 Days plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, with a probationary period of three months
Location: 10 East Reach, Taunton TA1 3EW with home and flexible working options on agreement
Responsible to: Co-operative Enterprise Administrator, plus support to all Development Workers

About the for the role: We are looking for someone to join our team and take an active role, providing efficient and professional administration and customer service to help us achieve our mission.
Our small team of Development Workers support organisations and groups across several sectors (including transport, food production, housing, heritage, health care, and more). You will be providing administration support across a variety of functions and activities including client and development work, marketing, HR, office management, finance, and governance activities.
You will also be the first point of call for many of our customer and stakeholders, along with looking after the front of house activities and our public areas. This includes responding to enquiries, taking bookings, and welcoming clients to the office.
