We are building our team and looking for people who are passionate about sustainable community development and co-operative values. We are a small team working and supporting with diverse and interesting projects and clients, including:
  • the first co-operative owned train operating company in the UK;
  • the new Eco-Centre for Somerset, promoting sustainable living and an Eco-Hub for sustainable technology, enterprise & innovation;
  • a new community-owned Swimming and Leisure Centre in Minehead, Somerset;
  • and others from different sectors: housing, farming, transport, health and wellbeing, and energy from across the country.

Social Enterprise Bookkeeper

Our new Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting ‘back office’ service delivery for clients, including maintaining and updating records, carrying out standard administrative processes and processing financial transactions, plus managing share registers.
  • Salary: £19,500 - £21,500 per annum (pro rata 40hrs), depending on experience.

Development Workers

We are looking for two new Development Workers to support our Co-operative Development Consultants on a range of projects and clients. Both roles are similar, and the main Job Descriptions apply to both roles. Additionally, to this we are looking for each role to have their own specialism: 1 x Marketing and 1 x Finance. 

  • Salary: £23,500- £25,500 per annum (pro rata 40 hours), depending on experience
  • Hours: 24 – 30 hours per week (to be agreed, with the possibility of increasing hours at a later date in accordance with our hours policy)

  • Development Worker - Marketing: In this role, you will be working with clients to support their marketing and publicity needs (including share offers and membership campaigns or service promotions), along with SCS’s own marketing.
